Damaged, damaged
Damaged, damaged
I thought that I should let you know
That my heart is
Damaged, damaged
So damaged

School was starting to take it's toll on Jessica Foster. The youth had been dreadfully homesick and her sister didn't help. The other girl had taken up life here easily. She'd fallen in with the crowd, becoming popular, while Jessica was left to fend for herself. Even though Jessica was the older one, she often clung to her sister. Elizabeth, though, had always been a social butterfly, going quite often to parties and other things that Jessica would never think of doing. They were almost completely different Jessica and Elizabeth, which made the youth feel even more alone in the world.

The feet of Jessica Foster dangled over the water as she sat on the dock in her simple jeans and top ensemble. The wind was brisk and the sun was almost completely invisible over the ocean, but she didn't want to leave her spot there. Every once in a while she'd dip her toes into the water, just to feel something. But there was one main thought that she couldn't get out of her head, the one that wouldn't stop pestering her no matter where she went.

"Why'd you have to leave me so soon?" She said bringing one of her knees up and resting her head on it. The curly blonde locks that she possessed fell around her face. Why hadn't she died too? Jessica couldn't figure out why it was her that survived and not her amazingly talented boyfriend. Though it was because of him that she would never touch alcohol. Just looking at it was enough to make her almost burst into tears. If only she'd stopped him from drinking. If only.

So how you gonna fix it, fix it, fix it?
How you gonna fix it, fix it, fix it?

I can be you hero baby
I can kiss away the pain

Michael walked lazily around the dock, going no where in particular. He wondered if his father had a boat here, somewhere. Really, it wouldn't have surprised the gangling young boy if he did. His father always seemed to have everything and parade it around for everyone to see. Michael, on the other hand, wasn't so much into that. He would have rather worked for everything himself, but hey, if they were going to supply it, then why not take it?

His eye spotted a pretty blonde girl sitting on the dock, all by her lonesome. Usually Michael was quite a flirt, but there was something about the way she sat there, how hopeless she looked, that made him switch up his game. There was a small tug at his heart so see such a pretty girl look so sad. Her boyfriend had probably been a jerk to her, or dumped her, or something dumb like that. Girls always seemed to over react to such small things.

The footsteps from the boy echoed as he made his way over to the girl, slipping beside her at the edge of the dock, his sandal clad feet hanging dangerously close to the water. For a few moments the couple sat in silence, he was unsure of what to say. Sometimes all people needed was to know someone was nearby, that there was someone to talk to if they needed it.

"You alright?" He asked finally, looking out to the ocean.

I will stand by you forever
You can take my breath away
