"You know what? Your right, it's late. Back to the bonfire. My cars down there anyway." Oh great. He thought, releasing a sigh from his lungs. He hadn't missed that infliction in her voice, she was angry. Why was she angry? If he wanted to be fair, he could be angry at her for pushing him away. That was what had started it all, really. So why be upset with him? Right, because he'd messed up, or whatever. Of course. He'd waited for a moment, after she walked off. his ears caught the sound of her getting into the car, shutting the door. Patrick just patted the hood once, thinking of all of the adventures that this car had gotten him into, and out of. He stood up, and headed back to the driver's side. Again, he grabbed his key as he sat down, pressing it into the ignition. The engine came to life, and then suddenly died. Patrick's stomach turned over, like a mother watching her child fall and hurt themselves.
His brows furrowed. "Just a minute." He said, and got back out of the car. He popped the hood, immediately looking at the battery. It couldn't be dead already, could it? No, one of the cables slipped. He felt a surge of relief, and the problem was fixed right away. Which was good, as he hated grease. he couldn't escape getting some on him however, and had to get a towel from under his seat when he sat down to wipe it off. He shut the door, and turned the engine on again. "Aha." escaped his lips in the form of a mutter. "Sorry about that." The blond apologized, managing a smile. His phone started to vibrate, and he pulled it out of his pocket. It was one of his old teammates, sending him a forward that made his want to laugh, but that would be ruse to Chloe. However, it did put him in a better mood.
"I don't believe in the word 'later'. C'mon." He said. "Hit me with your best shot."

That did it. The engine starting then dying, the whole distant thing, it was all too much. Chloe burst out laughing. This night was just great. Even though it seemed to be ending badly she couldn't help but laugh. It just seemed like the thing to do in this kind of situation. When Chloe was upset usually it was something as dumb or simple as the engine failing that made her feel better. Not to mention the fact that it meant she would get to spend a little more time with Patrick. Yeah, she was still upset with him, but did it really matter anyway? Other than games they would probably never see each other again. She figured she might as well enjoy it while it lasted.
"Just a minute." "Take your time. While your out there take a good look at the stars." Chloe said slipping her flip-flops off and bring her legs up next to her in the seat, almost like the sideways fetal position. This would be the time for music. She was almost tempted to go back down to the bonfire and drink some more and dance, but she knew exactly what was going on down there. The fire was dwindling and the people, leaving. There would be no point in going back there, except for her car that is.
"I don't believe in the word 'later'. C'mon. Hit me with your best shot." She looked over at him, her legs still up. Her mind went through a thousand things he could do, but he shouldn't have to do anything for her. "No, it's my fault. Shouldn't wear bikini's to parties I guess." His fingers on her skin again. He has no idea how crazy that makes me. Chloe thought along with other things, one involving her basically pouncing on him right then and there, but she already knew how that turned out before. But her mind kept going back to that imagine, the feel of his lips on hers was already fading but still linger just enough. She wished she could drive him just as crazy as he was eventually going to her, just for revenge.

Patrick looked over at Chloe when she started laughing. He wanted to look at her like she was crazy, but only managed a chuckle instead, before getting out of the car. It was funny, actually, now that he thought about it. It was comical, and he smiled as he fixed the battery. He had even taken a look at the bright stars, like she had suggested. They were wonderful. How so much like stars we are, Pat. Shining bright and beautiful, but surrounded by complete and utter darkness, someone had once said to him. He took in a deep breath, letting it out in a sigh as he lowered the hood. Everything was fixed, and he spotted nothing wrong when he looked, so when he joined her, and turned the car on, he closed his eyes for a moment with relief.
"No, it's my fault. Shouldn't wear bikini's to parties I guess." Patrick let out a small laugh. "I don't mind, really." He said, winking. Of course he didn't mind getting a look at her. "And I'm sure every guy at that party will agree with me. but if you get cold, I have a jacket in the trunk." he admitted, pointing his thumb behind them. Patrick looked into her eyes as his skin brushed hers, and another shiver went down his spine, as he remembered the taste of her lips. He smirked softly, knowing that there was more than enough room in this spacious car. He could lay down comfortably, he knew this from experience. So with a small smile still on his face, he reached over, tilting her head towards him, and whispered a quick, "Hey," before pressing his lips to hers again.
This kiss was different than the previous. The previous had been riddled with his hormones, with his mind's way of telling him that he wanted some. This was different. He noticed how soft her lips were against his; how smooth her hair was under his fingers. No, he wasn't letting this one get away. Not this time.

"I don't mind, really. And I'm sure every guy at that party will agree with me. But if you get cold, I have a jacket in the trunk." A grin appeared on her lips. He seemed to be in a better mood, which helped her relax more and think. What guy wouldn't like getting to look at her body? It would have to be a pretty strong man to not look at her at all. That was the kind of guy that Chloe dreamed about. The one that she wouldn't have to worry about looking amazing all the time with him, and he wouldn't look at other girls and compare her. She did enough comparing of herself to other girls to last her a life time. Eve rything right now seemed to small and insignificant. What did it matter if she was the most popular girl in school? Was she even the most popular girl in school? Chloe didn't know, but right now, sitting here with Patrick, it all just seemed like stupid high school pettiness.
"Hey," Chloe's thoughts were interrupted by his voice, Patrick's voice. Yet again, he took her by surprise. But she didn't skip a beat as she kissed him back, then pulling away suddenly, her forehead still against his. "Next time your going to kiss me." She said, slightly out of breath. "Warn me with more than just a 'hey'." This was so not the usual Chloe. Around him, she was acting modest flirty. Just not the way she was when she was with other people. Chloe recognized the change and was surprised he had brought it out of her, and this was the first time she had ever met him.
She had to admit, she felt slightly ho'ish. This boy had met her at a party, taken her to an isolated place, made out with her almost getting farther, and here she was kissing him again. But no one would know about this little get away from the social scene. Unless someone had followed them, which would be completely weird because that was on the verge of being a stalker. Chloe wasn't that famous anyway. Who would care about a high school freshman leaving a party anyway?

Alexia smiled and nodded her head. She agreed completely with her, Chloe was the type that you can't stand, but some pretended just because they wanted a taste of what they thought was "the good life". "Well..." Alexia sighed and kneeled by the girl. "I guess that Chloe can be who she wants, even if it will most likely burn her in the end. I mean...you need good trustworthy friends no matter how popular you are, she seems to think guys and drinking will save her." Alexia knew that Chloe was that kind of girl, look at her, she was carrying a drink, and all she could focus on was guys. Kinda sad actually...
Alexia drew a small smiley face in the sand and looked at the face, it made her smile, like a little person who crashed the party, but was happy to do it. Little things in life made her laugh, and she was glad to have someone to talk to as well, without someone to chat with this night would have been very, very boring.

Giuliette finally sat fully into the sand. She brought her knees up to her chest and wrapped her arms around them. Giulie listened closely to what Alexia was saying. "I can't tell you how much I agree with your statement" she said with a grin. "But not everyone can get a trustworthy friend and they turn into her." Giuliettes smile faultered. She hadn't ever had a friend that she could tell everything to. IT would be too difficult making sure they didnt go off telling people.
Giulie looked up at the star covered sky and sighed. She could hear that the party was dieing down but didnt really care. Miss Delconte wasnt at the beach to party. She happened to be there to think.

Alexia plopped down into the sand clumsily by her. She blushed softly at her own sillyness. That was the first time in a while she didn't care how perfect her posture was. "Yeah I suppose your right, I'm glad that I could make friends...I don't wanna be a Chloe" Alexia laughed after she said that..'don't wanna be a Chloe'. Alexia made it sound so bad to be like her, but it worked for some girls and it apparently worked for Chloe. She dug her toes into the cool sand and looked out at the waves. "So...where are you from? Im from a small town and Iowa...guess you could call me a 'hick'..!" Alexia laughed again and smiled at Giuliette.
She pulled her toes out and brushed them off, re-adjusted her outfit and position. She seen a shell beside her and she picked it up and exaimined it. It was beautiful and it shined greatly from the fire behind them. Alexia didn't have oceans back home, and the only beaches were ones along the river. This place was so different from home, but in a way it was better. She didn't have to be Alexia, ruler of the cliques here. She could be Alexia whoever she wanted. And that thought made her really excited.

She nodded in agreement. "I dont think that anyone in their right mind would want to be a Chloe." Giuliette smirked. Her mahogany eyes glanced around the emptying beach. "Oh, i'm from Boston but my family is from New York City." she smiled. Giulie couldn't see this girl as being considered a hick. She believed that she could possibly rule her own school if she wanted to. "I personally wouldnt call you a hick" she admited. "and I wouldnt call myself a city girl even though we were fairly rich and ritzy when my dad was alive"
Oh great Giulie thought I just talked about my dad. She could feel her eyes fill with liquid. Giuliette hated talking about her dad. It had always made her cry. As a young girl she even went to therapy for it. Her therapist suggested that she join a sport as an outlet and thats how she started gymnastics at the young age of seven. As of right now Giulie had met so many greats like Nastia Liukin.

Alexia listened carefully to her as she talked, but when she heard that her dad had passed away, she instantly felt a pang of sadness for her friend. She didn't want to make her cry, and she already seen some tears floating up from her eyes. Alexia hadn't personally lost anyone besides her aunt, and they weren't very close, so she couldn't relate, and she didn't want to pretend that she could. "Hey...thanks, I mean a lot of people here call me a hick, but back home I was ritzy too." She chuckled at the thought of home, there everyone thought she was the best thing ever, to those people Alexia was like some fashion model, and whatever she wore must have been the hottest styles, which was actually true. Here though Alexia just looked like another Cali Princess, and she felt so much like a stereotype.
She smiled at her friend and tried to make sure she stayed happy. "So, what is a big city like? I've been to New York City, but it was only on vacation, so I don't really know.." Alexia remembered how excited she was to be able to buy some of New York's hottest new styles, here mom and dad acted like it was no big deal, but to Alexia she would be so mad if she went and came home without a single item of clothing, she came back with three bags full of the fall's hottest. Alexia really enjoyed making herself look great, but it wasn't really everything to her. She thought that looking good was needed, but having friends and family who loved you were more important. She thought that Giuliette made a great first appearance, and even after only talking to her for this short time, she felt like she could be a great friend.

Giuliette took a few deep breaths to try and stop the almost tear flow. She wiped the unfallen tears from her eyes and looked away from Alexia to make sure her simple smokey eye wasnt running and to make sure she wasnt as red as a tomato. Giulie actually smiled as Alexia spoke of how her family was upper class where they lived. "Well, Lexie I do believe we could rule both schools if we wanted to with my families powerful background" she stated with a giggle. Giuliette hoped that she wouldn't mind the nickname. If she had wanted Giulie could be one of the most popular girls but she rather not be one of the clones. Little miss Giuliette Andria Delconte was her own person. Vintage was her typical style and she loved it. Sure she could be one of the few ruling Castle Hill but she wasnt.
"What city do you mean, Boston of New York? Truth be told i've only been to New York City once when I was ten, havent been back since" Giulie sighed. She remembered vividly her trip. It was practically ingraved into her brain and it was all because of her uncle profession. "New York City was fun until the end. It had gotten a little boring." she lied. Oh how Gliulie had felt the need to tell this girl exactly what went on but didnt know if she could fully trust her.

She pulled away from his kiss, rest rest her head on his. He honestly hadn't know what had made him kiss her again. Maybe, he figured, that if her lips were on his, that he could forget about everything, block out his mistakes with more mistakes. "Next time your going to kiss me, warn me with more than just a 'hey'," she said, and Patrick grinned at her. "Chloe?" He said softly, taking her cheek into his hand. "I'm going to kiss you. Just one more time." He said, his voice a bit husky. His strong hand slid back into her hair, holding her as he kissed her one last time, and this time the kiss was filled with a certain finality, as if Patrick knew that this would be the last time he ever saw her, which he really couldn't have been certain of. Did he not want to see her again? Of course he did, she was pretty, confident, certainly a good kisser. And she would prove a challenge in the future, should they ever meet up again in such pretenses.
He grinned once, and shifted away from her. The ignition came to life again, and he hung one arm out the window, driving too far over the speed limit for comfort. Patrick always drove too fast, it was a bad habit. But he'd never once otten pulled over, or hit something. Except a possum once, but that was different. It only took him half the time it did to get to the park than it did to get to the beach again. He pulled up right in front of the bonfire, which was in the exact same condition that they had left in it, music still blaring. Patrick didn't turn his car off as he looked dead ahead. "I'm gonna split." He murmured softly, but not unkindly. "Have fun, Chlo'." Patrick added, finally looking at her with something resembling a smile.

"Oh really..? Wow, being ten seems so long ago for me, even though it's only a few years past..." Alexia like how she was called Lexie, it made her smile, back home almost everyone called her that, but here nobody even noticed her enough to. Giulie had noticed her however, and it felt grand. She did however wonder what she did in New York, and of course Alexia would tell her what she had done, but she didn't want to offend her friend by being pushy, that was just plain rude in her opinion.
"I wish that I had worn more clothes im getting kinda chilly, my own fault though I suppose. I never wear warm clothes, I should watch the weather more often, but then again, I thought California was warm.!" Alexia laughed to herself, she should have known that it would sometimes get chilly here, but she knew it would never compare to the snow and freezing she got back home. She remembered all of those great fun-filled winters spent on the farm with her cousins when they came over, they would go sledding, have snowball fights, or sometimes just randomly run around in a winter-wonderland. That was one of the biggest things she missed about home, snow. It was becomming fall and at home it meant a harvest, and then the first visit from Jack Frost, here she knew she wouldn't be so lucky.
Alexia put her knees up and wrapped her arms around them, she turned her head and looked at the party. Still going on full blast, as she knew it would be for most of the night. She wondered how she would ever talk to her friend after this party was over, after all it wasn't like either of them could visit eachother's schools, they would most likely be harmed in some way or another, she guessed it was most likely that they would have to meet at off campus places.

"I'm going to kiss you. Just one more time." So this was it. One last sweet kiss. Her arms wrapped around his neck as his hands went for her hair. If this was the last one, at least for tonight, she might as well make it a good one. The kiss seemed to linger for a while and then it ended. That was that. It almost seemed empty. Like a goodbye that wasn't suppose to happen. Goodbye's were never fun for Chloe. She hated them in fact. Though, you always ended up having to say goodbye at some point in time.
Considering how slow he drove before Chloe was extremely surprised to see how fast he went this time. She had always loved speed, motorcycles were her favorite though. It was just the thrill of going fast, the wind in your hair. Something about that gave her a certain sense of freedom which made her crave more. Only once had she ridden a motorcycle and she so wished she could again at that moment.
"I'm gonna split." The way he looked ahead made her think something was wrong. But whatever. That was his deal. Chloe was back to her car and that was all she needed. He didn't look at her though. She almost felt ashamed, but of course, the potential superstar didn't let on to that. Chloe was a good actress when she wanted to be, but right now, she was just so happy that she let his rudeness slide. It didn't really matter anyway. The only time they'd probably see each other again was at games.
"Have fun, Chlo'." Finally there was a look of recognition. "Oh you know it. See yah." Chloe said turning toward the beach and walking back sort of slowly, her balance still hadn't completely returned. She resisted kicking his door and getting him back for leaving the way he had, but she didn't want him to think she was insane.
As soon as the boy was out of site though, Chloe headed up to her car. She slipped in and put her seat back, turning her ipod, that was plug into the car, she put on the song "Welcome to the Good Life." It was high time Chloe sat back and let the alcohol ware off. Chloe was responsible when it came to driving and drinking at least.

"Yeah, ten was so much longer away for me, some good times though" Giulie replied softly as she reminiced. She looked around for her small bag. Upon finding it she dug around for a sweater and some pants. Giuliette set her bag aside as she debated with herself on whether or not to say anything. She turned back around the the sweats in hand.
Giuliette laughed a bit as she spoke. It was kind of interesting. Giulie had never really lived where it was warm all year long so she was always prepared. "Here, I always bring some with me" she smiled as she handed over the pants and zippie. Giulie sat indian style and leaned back on her hands. Winter was her least favorite season. She loved the spring. I mean who wouldnt, all the flowers and rain. Sure there was pollen but nothing a little benedryl couldnt handle. Giuliette's least favorite part os the year was when it snowed. She has never liked it and didnt plan on liking it now.
As she looked up at the stars she thought about where her and Alexia could really hang out. It probably couldnt be during the day after all she may just end up excommunicated. Not that she didnt mind but her last year of high school with no friends would suck. Maybe they could...she stopped mid thought and sighed. There really was no possible way they could hang out unless they did some undercover stuff.

"Oh Mah Gawd..! Thanks sooo much.! Im not smart enough to do that.!" She laughed at herself and stood up to slip the clothes on and smiled, she plopped back down by her friend and smiled at her quite silly like. She knew she'd have to talk to her friend about hanging out, and they would have to work hard to find a way, which sucked. Why on earth did Castle Hill and Westfield have to be so hateful? It wasn't fair actually. She met someone that she actually liked, but couldn't see her in public. Ugh, life was so stupid. She wished that she went to Castle Hill, or that Giulie went to Westfield, but she knew that wouldn't happen anytime soon.
"So, what's Castle Hill like..? I'm just wondering...ya' know..to do a comparison..." She played with the sand in her hands, which was still oh so warm, she loved the feel of the little grains, and how the water from the ocean made them mold toghether. She thought of home, where her dad had filled a ton of buckets with sand so his little girl could have her very own sandbox, she loved it, and spent so many summer days as a kid playing in there with her dog Abby. She missed Abby so much, she had passed away a few years earlier, and her new dog was Holly. Holly was missed too, not because she passed away, but because Alexia couldn't bring her with her when she moved out here, she found it cruel, saying she should be entitled to her best friend.
