He stepped through the door, uncertainly. He supposed he was in the right place. The sign out front did announce that he was in Castle Hill Prep school. Here he was put into a big school just so that his parents would be happy. He couldn't help but wish to be back on the farm and away from all this. Farm life was a simpilier life, you didn't have to worry about what people thought about you, only how to make ends meet. He couldn't believe his parents could afford this place either. Why they sent him there he didn't know. Evan was just a simple farm boy not some high class kid that didn't have to work a day in their life. But oh well, he was here, and his brother would be here eventually to. Or at least he thought so.
The lobby was huge and looked extremely expensive. He felt out of place wearing his dark wash jeans that had holes in them around the knees, and with his red Castle Hill Prep shirt, compliments joining the school. There seemed to be an overflow of Castle Hill merchandise, like they wanted to have more people wearing their clothes than others. He had heard about the killings of the students between Castle Hill and Westfield, but he didn't understand the rivalry. Was it really worth getting killed over?

Bekah quickly walked into the lobby looking for her bag. She had just set it down to talk to a friend and she forgot it. But that was just like her to forget things. Her black hair was as straight as she could get it, and her bangs were to the side. She wore a tight red Castle Hill shirt that she had gotten when she first started school here. Covering her legs was a pair of faded blue jeans that were the perfect fit. For once she wore boots, her mother had gotten them for her and they looked good with this outfit.
As she found her bag she turned around and bumped into a person. "Sorry." she said softly as she turned around.

Evan was just getting ready to leave and go find his dorm room when a girl ran smack into him. She nearly knocked the wind out of him, but he didn't let it show. The worst thing to do would be to look like a huge wimp in front of the first girl he laid eyes on at Castle Hill. The other guys would give him hell for acting like such a wuss.
"Sorry." Evan looked down at the girl, finally seeing her. She was beautiful, to say the least. This girl had all the right assests, the long, straight black hair, everything. She probably had the money too. Evan couldn't help but think. A girl like her wouldn't want anything to do with a farm boy like Evan. She probably was one of those girls that almost cried whenever they broke a nail. He knew he was going to miss home, but not this much.
"Oh, yeah, s'alright." he said smiling at her. "Evan, by the way, and you are?" He asked, holding out his hand for her to shake. The cowboy felt awkward and out of place in this school, but he might as well not make it aware to everyone that he was a complete outsider on the inside.

The guy was very polite. He was pretty dang hot too. His short dark colored hair is what set him apart from the other guys she had seen here at Castle Hill.
"Evan, by the way, and you are?" He had said to her with an extended hand. She shook it softly."Well Hi Evan, I'm Bekah, pleasure to meet you." she said with a sweet smile. He was very cute, and his voice was absolute velvet. She knew what he was thinking though, just another rich girl.

"Well Hi Evan, I'm Bekah, pleasure to meet you." He took her soft, slender hand in his and shook it firmly, not enough to hurt her though. Evan's hand shakes were known to be pretty rough, but he was always extra careful when it came to girls. The conscience of the boy would never leave him alone if he took her hand too hard and hurt her. A guy his size could do some pretty good damage to a small girl too. It was just the way he was raised though. Always be a gentleman, was what his pappy had always said. Otherwise he'd be in deep shit.
"Nice ta meet you too Bekah. Off somewhere in a hurry?" He asked chuckling slightly. If she needed to get somewhere he would hate to be keeping her, but something made him want to talk to her more. It could be that fact that he was all alone here and she was actually being nice, but he wasn't sure. Evan wasn't very good with girls really, he was pretty awkward and gawky, though they usually didn't care. A girlfriend was not on the mind of the youth though, he was more interested in a friend.

His touch gave her chills. Bekah placed her hand in the pocket of her jeans. He was a farm boy, she could tell; None of the Cali boys were as sweet as he was. He was very careful to grab her hand gently and she liked that. No, she was not interested in a relationship, she had already been hurt once this year, but she did want another good friend.
"Nice ta meet you too Bekah. Off somewhere in a hurry?" He asked. She looked at her watch. "Nah, I've got a good while before i will get hungry." she said with a chuckle."Would you like to take a walk with me?" she asked softly.

"Nah, I've got a good while before i will get hungry." Evan was confused by her statement. He had asked if she was going somewhere and she was talking about food. An awkward feeling started to form in his belly as he wondered how he would reply to that. He tried not to let it show on his face that he was confused because he didn't want to look like the dumb farmer kid that some how ended up at Castle Hill, but he was sure that she could see through it. She seemed like a smart girl after all, and people weren't that hard to judge.
"Would you like to take a walk with me?"So she was going to be the one to make the first move. It would have been embarrassing to Evan to make a girl come after him, but really, he wasn't pursing her. She seemed nice though, maybe girlfriend material, but that would have to wait. Evan had only had a few girlfriends ever and he wasn't about to start doubling his numbers just because he was in a new place. Girlfriends were all drama and trouble anyway, it wasn't really worth having one.
"Sure Bekah, I would be happy to."

She noticed that her words had confused him. "When I said i've got a while before I will get hungry, i meant that im in no hurry, until i get hungry." she said with a smiled. She had to remember that it had taken her friends a while to get used to her corney jokes and she couldn't expect Evan to just jump in and understand them.
"Sure Bekah, I would be happy to." When she heard him say yes she smiled."Well alrighty lets go." she said linking her arm in his. She hoped she wouldn't scare him off by her gestures, but to her it was just being friendly.

"Well alrighty lets go." The boy resisted laughing as she linked arms with him so enthusiastically. He would hate to assume that she was flirting with him but it sure did seem like it. Most girls seemed to see only his looks and nothing else, which was sort of embarrassing for him. Sometimes he wished he was just a normal looking guy, not the one that girls seemed to flock towards because he looked 'hot'. That was life though, he was used to it, and he had accepted that some people were so vain that they didn't even want to know the real him, they just wanted him to say that they had a hot boyfriend.
"Yes we shall." He said walking with her, letting her lead. Really, he had no idea where they were going, not that he really cared. Evan did know that he had to make it to football tryouts sometime soon though. The thought that crossed his mind was to check his watch but it happened to be on the arm that was linked with Bekah's. He didn't want to look rude, like he had more important things to do than walk around with her, so he let it go, praying to the good Lord that he would help him get to football tryouts on time.

Bekah smiled and unhooked her arm from his. "Okay i've touched you enough for one day." she said joking."Kidding, Kidding." she said laughing lightly. She was a very bubbly girl and she was quite crazy. "Sorry, Im really wild." she said with a small blush.
As they walked a few girls gave her a dirty look, but she couldn't blame them, Evan was hot. She didn't really care though, he was really sweet, and she liked that in a guy. He was totally potential boyfriend material, but that was for a while later.

"Okay i've touched you enough for one day." As she unlocked arms with him he took a quick glance at his watch. It was a simple silver watch with a light green background. There was nothing glamorous about it, though he wished he could have something more like the other guys here. It wouldn't matter anyway though, but he did notice the time. Evan only had 10 minutes until try outs started.
"Sorry, Im really wild."Evan chuckled slightly. "Wild? You ain't wild, just lively." It was true, she seemed to bring color to the world around her as they walked, which was a nice change.

Bekah smiled as she watched him check his watch. "Wild? You ain't wild, just lively." she chuckled at his statement. "Well you've only just met me." she said with a small tease in her voice. Then it struck her. Football tryouts were today.
"I'm guessing you are tryin out for Football." she said turning towards the Sports Complex. Alot of the guys were trying out, and sadly most would make it. They usually sucked, well in her eyes anyways.

"Well you've only just met me." Evan chuckled. This girl was slightly crazy, probably the life of a party, something that Evan was not. He was more shy and kept to himself. Usually he didn't party unless his friends from back home were with him, but now they weren't here.
"I'm guessing you are tryin out for Football." A smile lit on his face, couldn't keep anything hidden from this girl. As the couple started toward the sports complex he couldn't help but wonder how he would do. If he would be any good compared to the rest of the boys trying out.
"Ya, I am. Hoping to help take the team to state this year."

Bekah smiled. She would probably just work out a little bit while he was trying out. She was already going to be at the sports complex, so she might as well huh. She had planned on going a little later, that's what was in her bag, gum clothes.
"Ya, I am. Hoping to help take the team to state this year." She smiled at his statement. "Well if you do, you will be are knight in shining armor." she said with a small shrug as they entered the complex.

"Well if you do, you will be are knight in shining armor." Evan looked down at the girl and smiled. He wasn't looking to be a knight in shining armor or hero or anything, all that he wanted to do was help the team. Maybe with his help and the rest of the guys they would actually make it to state, or at least beat that Westfield team. He couldn't believe his ears when he first heard that they hadn't beaten Westfield in so long. Really, it was ridiculous, they couldn't be that good.
He walked into the sports complex with her, wondering why she was coming with. There weren't any other girls there and the whole complex was reserved for the football tryouts. Maybe she would watch.
