Marciela walked quietly through the park. Her big brown eyes darted from thing to thing critiquing every little thing that she saw. Marci compared this park to Central Park back in her home city of New York. She couldn't believe that her father had sent her off to some random school in the middle of what felt like no where. Marciela was staying with some type of host family and had no cash on her what so ever. Her dad had given her a budget for the next three years. With the amount of money he had given her, she could go to Saks and spend it all in an hour. Here she had to figure out how to shop on a budget. That was something dear little Marci had never done in her whole life. According to her temporary family she wouldn't be getting more money once she went through this.
She let out a sigh as she changed the song on her bright purple ipod nano chromatic. Marci hummed along with the song "Hong Kong Gardens". It just happened to be one of her favorites. She spotted a small bench not too far off so she made her way in simple strides. Her pink pumps clicked as they hit the bumpy pavement. Marciela sat gracefully on the bench and crossed her legs as a lady should in a skirt. The skirt that she was wearing was white with pleating. It ended four inches above her knee. Her top was fairly fitted. It was a simple pale pink with "Bella" written across the chest in bright pink. The completion to her outfit was a pearl bracelet. Marci Raye smiled faintly as she listened to the birds chirping.
That particular sound reminded her of home but at the moment that was not something to be reminded of. She couldn't stand her family at the moment. Honestly who sends their 16 year old daughter off on her own with only what a couple hundred thousand dollars to last a year.

Brooke walked through the park, staring at all of the trees. The leaves were so beautiful, though from what she heard, not nearly as the east coast. She spotted a girl on a bench, looking very thoughtful. She looked slightly lonely, which Brooke knew too much of already. Walking up to the girl, she stood next to the bench. "Hey, I'm Brooke," she said. "Mind if I join you?"
