Character Info
Name: Blake Thomas
Nickname: Thomas, Blake-y ( I wouldn’t recommend that one to his face)
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Year: Sophomore
School: Westfield Academy
Appearance: Most people would peg Blake as ‘adorable’. He has brilliant and expressive green eyes, and his brown hair is little past his ears, and he normally wears it shaggy. He is not the most muscular guy you’ll ever see on the planet, but he certainly is no string bean either. He stands at around 5 ft 10 inches, but has yet to grow some more. His father, who is a regular giant at 6 ft 6 inches, believes that his son will soon grow to his fullest potential height and become the basketball star he was when he was a high-schooler. Generally, you won’t see this kid with much expression on his face, except for maybe a small smile here and there. He sort gives off the very mellow and soft impression, and one that would easily generate a lot of teasing, though it rarely happens. His voice is somewhat soft for a male.
Usually Wears: Blake wears what considers ‘normal’: comfortable (though not necessarily expensive) t-shirts, slightly baggy jeans, hoodies, and skater shoes, and pretty much anything he finds on his floor in the morning. He’s not too picky so long as it is not overly bright and flamboyant.
General Personality: The one thing that is most noticed about Blake is the fact that he isn’t noticed. He is painfully and awkwardly shy. He is a little bit more intelligent than most, but struggles to show this, especially during group discussions. In fact, he is so shy that his face turns pink almost every time he opens his mouth. He is especially uncomfortable around strangers. Most people think he is a mute. Once you break through his shell, you’ll discover a different side to him. He is possibly one of the sweetest boys you’ll ever meet and not accuse of being gay.
Also, he is a very mellow person, and criticism either bounces off him or he takes it in good stride. It takes someone special to make him laugh and feel completely at ease. It isn’t that he is a very serious person, it’s just that he fears that he wouldn’t know what to do. If you do want to see him in a light you’ve never seen him at before, you should watch him play his favorite sport, baseball. Surprisingly agile, he plays a mean second base, and when it comes to batting, he is next to none. He just rarely receives the credit he is given because of the fact he doesn’t talk much. During baseball season he becomes fairly popular, especially with the regular jocks, but by summer, he’s nothing but a forgotten name again.
Interior Personality: If it isn’t obvious, Blake has some issues with confidence. He does not necessarily lack it, just has trouble expressing it in the right way. He is a perfectionist to the point where it seems that he is the exact opposite. If he doesn’t think something will go in his favor, he just will not do it at all. He fears he is too boring and won’t be able to make friends so he doesn’t make much of an effort.
Fears:
-public speaking
-small spaces
-humiliation
-failure of any sort
Likes:
+baseball
+Small classrooms
+Soft Rock
+Watching Movies
+Observing people
+Figuring out problems
+Being Alone

Dislikes:

-His shyness
History:
Blake actually has a very boring family history, but it goes something like this: Born and raised on the West Coast, Blake was never the most outgoing, even as a child. Stuck in the middle of a large, 6 person family, he often received the least attention (though both of his parents refuse to think that way). In the ages of 4 and 6 six he rebelled somewhat, but soon grew withdrawn but never unhappy. He has 2 older sisters, an older bother, and two younger brothers.
His parents split shortly after his youngest brother, Brady’s, birth. Blake was 7 at the time. This didn’t shake him up enormously, and actually rather enjoyed it. It was easier to spend time with his father, whom he’d always had a slight preference over. They often went to basketball or baseball games together, where Blake fell in love with the sport.
From them on, you would always see Blake coming home from a long day of baseball. Soon, more and more medals appeared from Blake, and he was finally starting to get more attention. Unlike his older brother (a big time jock), he didn’t let it go to his head, instead keeping grounded and very quiet about his semi-fame. His mother constantly worries that his shyness hinders his social skills, but doesn’t feel right about talking about it to him. Instead, she sent him to Westfield in hopes he’d start coming out of his shell without any pressure from home.
Family:Mother - Anna Thomas - divorced
Father - Micheal Thomas - divorced
Sister - Alexis Thomas - 21
