Demetri sat very far from the ocean, he wasn't one to get close to that much water seeing as he wasn't one for swimming. This was one of his secrets that he didn't tell people unless it was completely necessary. He was sitting with his legs slightly bent as he had a sketch book on his lap. He loved to draw and he was pretty good at it.
Demetri was listening to his ipod as he sat there in the midday light. Yup he was listening to Arms of a stranger by 12 stones. He was really into rock and it would be kind of strange if he wasn't. He didn't like many other types of music it wasn't his thing. He was wearing a type of outfit he could be seen in at pretty much any given moment. He had a long sleeve white shirt with a black shirt over top of it. The white undershirt was a bit big as most of his shirts were as it was baggy on his arms slightly as most clothes did on the small boy. He was quite small he only stood at five foot two and weighed ninety seven pounds. He was a light weight no doubt about it. The Black over shirt had a white faded design on it, it was kind of cool.
For pants he wore his usual black fitted jeans. He loved black jeans but was never one to wear skinny jeans he didn't like how tight they were it felt like he couldn't walk right. Lastly on his feet he had a pair of black and white checkered vans. He looked up for a moment as it got a bit dark, it was just a cloud passing by as it soon hurried on in the breeze as the sun peaked out again. It was a nice day to be outside.

Keira was ready to get out of the school. Sure it had only been a few days of school, but she was already sick of it. So far though there had been no huge fights between the girls, which really wasn't a bad thing. But school just seemed dumb to her. She had no one to hang out with since her sister ended up in a different school. Why couldn't Keira have been accepted too? Why did they have to be split up so soon. Keira needed her sister. She walked around thinking fuck my life while listening to Lips Like Morphine, her ear buds jammed in her ear. Her DC black and blue shoes thudded against the sidewalk as she headed toward her destination. Her outfit wasn't very much beach appropriate but she didn't care much. Just a simple blue tank top with a zebra print tunic over it. To complete the look she threw on some tights.(( Here! )) The day was lovely. She was glad that she had come to the beach, even though the sand was already getting into her shoes. She'd clean them out later. Keira continued along until she came across a young looking boy that was sketching. Sketching was one of the few things that Keira throughly enjoyed. Even though she didn't do it all that often. "Good view?" Keira asked as she sat down next to him. The ocean stretched out before them and she was surprised he wasn't sitting closer. If it had been her choice she'd be right up next to the ocean. But one to his own, she guessed.

Demetri was lost in thought slightly, he looked to his ipod for a moment as he heard a song he really didn't want to hear. He tapped the button a few times landing on Psycho by Puddle of mudd. Oh yeah he was rock fan all sorts pretty much. The only types he really didn't like were like soft, oldies, screamos, well some screamos were ok. The only reason he didn't like them was because he couldn't understand the words. He didn't like a song if he couldn't understand what they singer was saying.
His attention was caught as he heard a voice as he looked over swiftly seeing a girl sit next to him. He had been a bit startled, he didn't know her and he wasn't really expecting anyone to talk to him."Um.. Hello...and yes it is.." He said as he spoke relatively softly and slowly as his Italian accent was obvious. He pulled the ear piece out of the ear that was on the side she was sitting on. He had thought it rude to talk to others with both headphones in. It would make him feel like someone wasn't listening to him and he didn't want to do that to someone else.
He looked over to the ocean for a moment. He knew the whole being closer thing but he didn't like bodies of water, never had never will. It was pretty amazing he was this close as it was of course he knew he was far enough to not even be touched by the water. The only way he could even get a drop on him was if a kid splashed him, highly unlikely, or if it rained, but it was beautiful out. He didn't really see that happening...

"Um.. Hello...and yes it is.." Keira smiled. This boy had an ahdorable accent. But she couldn't put her finger on what kind it was. But that didn't matter. She seemed to have startled him and she instantly felt bad. He didn't seem to really want company, but she couldn't help it. Keira loved boys that could draw and such so she had to just come and see him. She'd leave in a bit if he wanted to. There was no use staying where she wasn't wanted.
"Lovely day." She stated looking at him and smiling again. "Sorry to bother you, by the way." She giggled slightly. She did feel bad about bothering him, but it was her nature. He'd get over it, and did it really matter if he didn't? It's not like she would ever really see him again. She hadn't seen him at her school so far.
Her eyes drifted back over the ocean. It really was a beautiful day, and the sand was nice and hot as she dug her fingers into it, on either side of her. She was glad she had come to the beach. Today seemed like it would be a good day. It was one of those days that people walked outside, looked at the weather, and thought, everything is going to be alright.

Demetri watched her as she spoke. He didn't mind company he just hadn't been expecting it. He noticed her smile after he spoke, he wondered why that was, maybe it was to be friendly or how he said something? He wasn't sure. He really hadn't spoken to anyone much around here except for administrators at his school and such. Demetri smiled lightly as she spoke. Well for him they way she spoke was odd to him, her accent. Well he was a bit use to it as his English teacher had spoke with the accent as well.
It was kind of hard to come from an Italian over all society to an English one. It was a bit overwhelming which was another reason he wasn't talking to a lot of people. "Yes it is.. and It is fine I do not mind the company.." He said with a smirk. He didn't use apostrophes a lot, it was one of the last lessons he learned and he didn't remember it much so he would say can not instead of can't at times. He was starting to figure out more of them but not so much.
He looked over to the ocean after she did. He really did like it, he had grown up by the sea all his life seeing as he was living in Siracusa before all of this. "Um.. my name is Demetri what is yours?" He said curiously as he looked at her...

"Yes it is.. and It is fine I do not mind the company.." Italian. That was it. She couldn't believe that she didn't pick up on it before. Keira often had to sit through dinners that her father forced her to go to and there were always a variety of accents. But Keira had liked the English and Italian accents the best. This boy seemed like he was just getting used to English. Keira felt slightly bad for him. He obviously understood what she said though.
"Um.. my name is Demetri what is yours?" Keira noticed that he looked at her slightly odd. She couldn't help but go slightly red. He probably thought she was just some goofy girl. But that was alright. Keira was sort of a goofy girl. That was just her personality.
"Keira, Keira Blair." She said laughing slightly and holding out her hand for him to shake it. Demetri. That was a cool name. One she was sure she wouldn't hear around her ever again. Unique names were fun. That's why Keira loved hers. There weren't too many other Keira's around, and when there were they never spelled it the same way as she did.

Demetri noticed her blush slightly ,he wondered why. He really had a hard time understanding other people but he wasn't easily understood either so it was a pretty neutral thing. He didn't mind it was a fun challenge to figure people out unless he couldn't do it. He smiled lightly as he heard her name."Kiera Blair.." He said mirroring her words ,but his came out with his accent of course."I like your name.. it is very pretty and fitting.." He said with a smirk.
He always liked to compliment people, it had been something he did naturally and really didn't notice. Well he hadn't meet a person who didn't like a compliment so I guess it's a good habit. He looked away for a moment before glancing back to her. He didn't like silence, never did. "Um... So what school do you go to?" He asked. She looked young enough to still be in school. He also didn't want this conversation to have an awkward silence or stop.
((little short.. sorry))

"I like your name.. it is very pretty and fitting.." Aw. He was sweet. Keira looked him over once. He was adorable. Possibly boyfriend material. She instantly felt stupid thinking of him that way. He was just being nice. What kind of guy would say that he hated her name? A jerk, that's who. Maybe he just didn't want to come off as a jerk.
"Thanks." She smiled. "How'd you get the name Demetri?" She was kind of curious. Was Demetri a common name over in Italy? She didn't think so. If it was she hadn't heard of too many guys with it. And you would think that you would hear a name more than once if it was popular.
"Um... So what school do you go to?" That's right. They might not go to the same school. Keira looked at him again. He definatily seemed older than her. His jaw was more shaped and over all she felt young in comparision to him.
"I go to Castle Hill Prep. How about yourself?" She tore her blue eyes away from his and looked out around the beach. There seemed to be a lot of people out. She couldn't blame them. It was a great day to be outside.

A lot of people had called him ,cute, sweet, nice, etc. Demetri didn't care that was who he was. He liked the way he was and he didn't really want to change. He saw no reason to be the way he was. So people would call him a push over but he kind of was and this was just him and changing yourself isn't an easy task. Especially when you don't want to.
He was happy he hadn't taken his compliment the wrong way or anything. He was pretty sure from some of the girls he had seen around here that would have. "Sei il benvenuto..."((You are Welcome.)) He said lightly in reply to her thanks. He looked at her as she spoke."My mother picked it for me..My name actually is from the Greek name Demetrius..." He said with a smirk. He wasn't one to talk about himself much, but if he was asked he would happily do so.
Demetri nodded lightly."I see.. I am going to Westfield Academy.." He said with a smirk. He really didn't care where people were going to school .He had heard that their schools were like rivals or something, but he didn't care about stuff like that. It was stupid to him, he didn't understand why stuff like that would matter. Friendly competition was fine but from what he heard it was more then that.

"My mother picked it for me..My name actually is from the Greek name Demetrius..." A god, and all Keira's name meant was Dark. Her mother must not have realized the meaning of the name when she choose it, because Keira was anything but dark, even when she had her natural black hair color. Maybe her mom knew that Keira would become a Scene Queen and figured that was dark. Who knows. But she almost wished she could have been named after a goddess or something more exciting. Even though Keira did love her name.
"I see.. I am going to Westfield Academy.." Keira had to resist a laugh. There schools were suppose to be mortal enemies, for what reason she didn't know. But she just knew that after hanging out at her school for a bit she found that almost everyone there hated Westfield. But this kid seemed alright. It wasn't like he was being a jerk to her or anything since she told him she was from Castle Hill. Though she did hear about those people that were killed in a fight between some Castle Hill and Westfield kids. Keira couldn't believe the violence had gone that far. It almost sickened her.
"So your suppose to be like my mortal enemy." Keira said laughing slightly. It was true. If any of her friends from Castle saw her talking to a Westfielder she'd be in deep shit. But oh well. None of them would come to the beach. They were all out shopping and doing other stuff. Keira just didn't want to hang out with them today so she came to the beach.

Demetri watched her as she spoke, he wasn't sure how she was going to react. He had heard plenty of the rivalry but he didn't care, not one bit. He thought it was stupid and who everr may ask him he would say it to their face. Even though he was a shy guy he wasn't afriad to say something if he strongly believed in it, but of course he wouldn't say it unless it was necessary at the time being. He would speak his mind but he was smart about it.
He watched her as she spoke as he heard her laugh. He smiled lightly."I guess so... but to be honest I think this thing has gone to far, I understand the schools not liking each other and wanting to beat them in sports and club activites and such. But from what I heard of deaths, it's out of control.." He said very calmly as he ususally spoke.
This was areason he annoyed people sometime, if he was to argue with someone he stayed very calm as he spoke. This made people feel like he wasn't really listening to him, and they were right most of the time he wasn't really paying them all that mind but if he was to get all short tempered around someone like that he would never win an arguement. This as how he felt and acted...

"I guess so... but to be honest I think this thing has gone to far, I understand the schools not liking each other and wanting to beat them in sports and club activites and such. But from what I heard of deaths, it's out of control.." Keira's bright blue eyes focused on the boy. This conversation had taken a serious route, and she didn't like it. She always thought it was better to keep conversations happy. Usually she was the hyper, happy person anyway and she was starting to feel slightly awkward with this whole change.
"Well yeah, of course it has, but you know, some people." She said looking down, her long eyelashes touching the top of her cheeks. Her feet shuffled, digging into the sand as she took in the feel. Keira had always loved the feel of sand on her bare feet. It was almost a freeing thing. Of course, not as much as flying or anything, but it made her feel more apart of nature. Keira had always been a huge nature fan. Especially drawing it.
"So what are you doing out here anyway?" She asked smiling, trying to change the topic. "Other than the obvious." This boy seemed to be good company. She was sure he would be easy to make friends with, even though he was from Westfield. She wondered why it was such a big deal, the difference between the schools. Sure, she'd been at schools that there was a huge rivalry with a school nearby, but none so intense as the one between Castle Hill and Westfield.

Demetri nodded as she spoke. She was right as well, "Yes some people..." He said lightly ending it there as he could tell she didn't like this conversation. He looked over to her as he could see her fidgeting slightly, well at least that was what it appeared to him .He Heard her speak and she asked a question."I don't know.. i thought this would be a nice place to draw.." He said with a shrug. He actually wasn't all that sure why he had come to the beach. He wasn't really dressed like one should on the beach, sand was really hard to get out of jeans but he didn't care.
"What about you?" He asked returning the question. He was getting a little less timid around her the more they spoke. He was timid for many reason, one he was living in a completely new place where he knew no one. Two, the language switch for him which he was still adjusting to, and three, the fact that he had always been like that his entire life. Yup, this was the way he was. To be honest he was getting tired of sitting on this beach, it was hot out and the color black for clothing wasn't the smartest idea...

"I don't know.. i thought this would be a nice place to draw.." Keira nodded. The ocean was always a great place to draw or take pictures. There were so many things going on here that one could have unlimited possibilities of what they may draw or photograph. People walked lazily along the beach, dolphins played farther out in the surf, people played football, throwing it back and forth to each other. The beach was full of inspiration.
"Oh, perfect place to choose." She said looking at him and smiling. Keira personally never drew the ocean. She was more for anything on the land. At one point in time she had tried to draw the ocean, but she could never get the water just right. There was a point of three dimension that she wanted but could never achieve. This boy had to be quite talented if he could do that.
"What about you?" "Just getting away from school, I guess." she replied. Keira didn't really have a reason to be out here on the beach. But she was already sick of school. Her new friends weren't terrible, but that was another thing she had wanted to escape.

Demetri smiled lightly as she spoke. "I'm glad I got so lucky then..." He said looking to her then out to the ocean again. Drawing water was always a challenge but it was easier with color, especially paints or pastels, two of his favorite coloring tools. He looked back to her as she spoke."I can understand that.. people out here are so much more outgoing then I thought they would be. I have gone to schools like these all my life but this one certainly is different.." He said with a smirk. Everything was different out here compared to the calm and peaceful home of Italy he had been before. He like the change though there was much more excitement here, it was refreshing to be honest, but it could be overwhelming.
((sorry so short just got done with 4 hours of homework @__@ ))
